EMDR INTENSIVES

You Survived Something Hard. Now, let's Help You Heal From It.

Whether you're processing a loss, healing from a difficult birth, or navigating the emotional weight of the perinatal journey, you need more than a once-a-week appointment and a long waiting list for relief.

At Poppy Perinatal Therapy, I offer Perinatal EMDR Intensives, a specialized, focused approach to trauma therapy that goes deeper, moves faster, and meets you exactly where you are. This isn't weekly therapy stretched over months. This is a dedicated, immersive experience designed to deliver real, lasting relief in a shorter timeframe.

When Weekly Therapy Doesn't Feel Like Enough

Maybe you’ve tried traditional weekly therapy. You show up, you share, you make progress, and then you spend six days sitting with everything that came up, waiting until the next session to keep going.

For perinatal trauma, that weekly rhythm can feel unbearably slow.

Maybe you're:

  • Replaying a difficult birth experience that you can't stop thinking about

  • Struggling with anxiety or fear that feels too big to explain

  • Grieving a loss: a miscarriage, an infertility journey, or a baby you didn't get to bring home

  • Feeling disconnected from your body, your baby, or yourself

  • Carrying trauma from childhood or past experiences that are suddenly surfacing in this season

Whatever brought you to this page, it took courage to get here. You deserve support that truly meets the depth of your experience.

What Makes An Intensive Different From Weekly Therapy

Unlike traditional weekly sessions, EMDR Intensives compress focused trauma processing into longer, dedicated sessions, maintaining all eight EMDR phases without the stop-and-start rhythm of weekly appointments. This allows:

Accelerated symptom relief — many clients experience meaningful shifts in days, not months

Deep, continuous processing — your brain stays in an active healing state, without weekly interruptions breaking the momentum

Targeted focus — we work on the specific memories, beliefs, or patterns that are most in the way

Preparation and support for complex trauma — if needed, sessions include nervous system regulation, stabilization skills, and psychoeducation before active processing begins

Integration support — after your intensive, we work to bring your insights and changes into your daily life in real, lasting ways

What's Included In A Perinatal EMDR Intensive

Perinatal EMDR Intensives are a private-pay, specialized service, which means I'm not working within the limitations of insurance protocols. I'm working for you.

This service is designed for individuals in the perinatal season — from trying to conceive through postpartum — who are navigating infertility, IVF, pregnancy, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, postpartum PTSD, anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm.

EMDR Intensives offer deep, focused support for the experiences and beliefs that may be making this season feel heavier — including unresolved trauma, fear around pregnancy or birth, emotional blocks, or past experiences that are resurfacing as you move toward or through parenthood.

Imagine Feeling Like Yourself Again

Picture waking up and not being pulled immediately back into that memory. Walking into your baby's room without that wave of dread. Telling your story.  Your real story. Without your body bracing against it.

That's what healing looks like. And it's not as far away as it might feel right now.

Clients who come through Perinatal EMDR Intensives often describe:

  • Finally feeling relief from symptoms they've been managing for months

  • Being able to talk about their experience without being flooded by it

  • Feeling more present with their baby, their partner, and themselves

  • A sense of resolution they didn't know was possible after loss

You don't have to keep carrying this alone. And you don't have to wait months to feel better.

What Happens When You Wait?

When perinatal trauma goes unaddressed, it doesn't always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it shows up quietly in how you feel about your body, your relationships, or the next chapter ahead.

Reaching out sooner simply means more time on the other side of it — present, grounded, and feeling like yourself again.

You're In The Right Place. Let's Talk.

If something on this page felt like it was written for you — that's not a coincidence. This work is deeply personal to me, and every person I work with matters.
